If
you are thinking about any sports, it is quite obvious physical activity
required to excel and to compete at national and international level, one has
to go the extra mile to achieve that.
Skating
is one of the professions which requires zeal, effort, strength and stamina and
should be physically and medically fit to balance. Can you believe, a young lad 19, Chandeep
Singh Sudan from Jammu has made India proud by bagging two gold medals, who has
lost both arms?
Yes,
that is true. Today, he is a national level skater and holds
the world record for the fastest 100-metres para skating. Also, he has been selected as one of the ‘Six
Heroes of India’ by India Today and been felicitated with the “Pehal Youth
Proud Award.”
It
seems the accident was a catalyst to his achievements!
Recently
the USA based Golden Book of World Records recognized him as the fastest
para-skater under the 100m category.
No doubt, this is a big
incident for Chandeep when he knew that he had lost his arms but the constant
support and encouragement of his parents give him the confidence to come out
with tragic moments which otherwise can be a huge impact on his mind!
In
general, skating one needs to have balance and without arms, is not possible to
do skating. Balance is the key factor in
this kind of sport. But the way he takes
it as a challenge and makes us proud, which we should be and salute the boy
from Jammu decided to fight back.
Especially when all hopes seemed lost, the perseverance and inhuman
zeal, he turned his life back is extraordinary.
Many will inspire by him.
This
is an amazing and inspirational young lad who never give up. He lost both arms accidentally when he came
in contact with high voltage power lines and most of the time it makes a
negative impact due to the disability he met after the accident. One can imagine the agony and pain that he
would have gone through. Only the brave
souls can confront and come out in flying colours. It is rightly said where there is a will
there is a way.
In
a society, where we live, often distress, and keep grumbling for every small
and trivial issue. We get depressed or
sometimes take a grave step like suicide if we lose even materialistic things. If we look on the other side of Chandeep, he
becomes a hero, a real champion even after he lost his both arms. Really, we should be ashamed of ours. What an
inspiration fights back in life. A lot
to be learned from this young man.
Hats
off to Chandeep, his parents and teachers.
Really unbelievable and how he overcome and cut down all the obstacles
in life and has succeeded. Salute to his
courage, spirit and determination. A
positive thinker and a great motivator.
Going
through rough patches of his life and the way this young boy comes back and
become a national level skater even he finds support and inspiration from none
other than legendary athlete Milkha Singh.
His journey of life is full of constant struggle and
inspiring to give a lesson to others – when one is truly passionate for his/her
dream then one can reach at the highest level of success. Nothing is impossible if you have the guts
and grit to dream big.
Kudos for his spirit and courage. No doubt, he is an inspiring role model for
millions worldwide.
Wish him all the success and he may achieve the best
in his life. The universe is the limit
for him.
