Indian shooters can do miracle in Olympics

Congratulations team in blue.  An Incredible win for India by winning International Shooting Sport Federation [ISSF] World Cup.

Stalwarts’ countries like the United States of America [USA], Italy, Denmark, Poland and many more did join in the shooting events, despite that India tops medal tally in ISSF Rifle-Pistol World Cup held recently in Delhi.

This is India’s most successful campaign to mark with and do make us proud for the nation.  If we really go back and analyze the events of the ISSF Shooting World Cup, then we will see India primitively ruling the medals chart.

The shooting World Cups since the New Delhi edition in February 2019 and this was the country’s sixth successive number one finish at the ISSF championship in the rifle/pistol events – New Delhi, Beijing, Munich, Rio de Janeiro [World Cup Final] in 2019 and at the combined World Cup stage here in 2021. A very impressive result and this reflects total dominance in the shooting.

53 countries have participated and a total of 294 shooters across the world compete chiefly – Korea, Singapore, United Kingdom, Iran, Ukraine, France, Hungary Thailand, Turkey.

The 2021 ISSF World Cup is the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events finished the World Cup shooting campaign with a golden triumph by cornering 30 medals, including 15 gold.

Whilst India stands first and the second position is the USA and the third rank is Italy for the ISSF Shooting World Cup held in Delhi. The table shows par excellence of India’s performance with respective countries in medal tally categorized Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Perceptibly heartiest congrats to all team members, coaches, mentor and associated staff.  It should be highly celebrated but on the contrary, if you look India will never win any international competition.  Though the reflection and the results are shown a great success but in the Olympics, Indians are lacking behind in the shooting to fetch Gold medals except for one in 2008 Beijing, Abhinav Bindra did make us proud.

Though among the shooting fraternity and as an Indian, the history behind the result is unmatched and we should be proud of it, but we should be more compatible in the international arena of shooting competition especially in the Olympics and stands top on the medal tally that we should be looking for.

No doubt, the Olympics is totally a different scenario, a tough competition and a lot of challenges will be there and every country will certainly give their best but the dominance of Indian shooting in the ISSF World Cup gives new light and new hope to start with and sure many more to come.

Here is the Indian performance in the Olympics.
