Street smart Courage – A Bold Move
Satinder Kumar Singh, a traffic police constable is one of those rare courageous men, who showed great valour and saved a person from drowning. On the fateful day, Singh was doing his duty at the Civil Line Circle in Wazirabad Bridge. Basically, his duty time starts from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. It was late afternoon around 7.00 p.m. near Timarpur Main Intersection there was a [VIP delegate] in Volvo bus coming from Nepal to New Delhi on a special mission. While he was busy giving the go-ahead to this bus, suddenly he heard a groan. As he hurried to look behind him, he saw at the nearby drain, which was 24 feet-long, people raising an uproar. It was almost evening and completely dark, on approaching that drain he saw a man was neck-deep in the drain throwing his hands and trying utmost best to save himself.
