NMRC vistas with a new vision by recruiting transgender

As a human when we come to the world, we often make out by gender – male or female, and that is the way the society accepted it.  The modern society is engulfed both male and female to flourish – socially, economically, financially and emotionally. 

It may be developed countries or developing countries amalgamation of gender giving equal rights pave the prosperity of the nation but when we are talking about “Trans” is often used as transgender, somewhere down the line the society or as we difficult to accept them.  Even ponder how they can be in tune with ours and to welcome in social life is a bit skeptical!

Can we imagine or even a single thought about transgender, how they can be joined in the mainstream to make the best use of skills in them and to transform a civilized person to make a better society to live in?  They are humans too, we should welcome them with an open heart.

Well, can they contribute to society or the nation as a whole?  Yes, if they have given the opportunity, they can do wonder! 

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has come out with a decisive plan and dedicated the Sector-50 Metro Station on the Aqua Line to the transgender.  It has also annunciated to recruit people only from the trans community with the core objective to provide special facilities and employment opportunities for this community.  Generally, this step is taken to provide the realistic touch and meaningful participation of the members of the transgender community.

NMRC has underlined that this step has been inspired by the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019. 

The station for Transgender Community will be open for all passengers but it caters especially to the members of this community. 

Obviously, a great initiative.  It will change people’s mindset.  Everyone deserves respect in society and thus they also be entitled to live a respectable life.  Why are ‘Trans’ not doing study and job?  Our responsibility is also to encourage and give opportunities to them.

The NMRC has obvious reason by recruiting transgender community to bring an initiative:

Fruitful engagement – To bring fruitful engagement of the transgender community they should include with the functioning system of various aspects like ticket counters, housekeeping and other areas.  For this, they will give a proper training before inducted into the NMRC system.  

Creating Awareness – To generate awareness about this community among other commuters will be through signages, which will be placed at stations and announcements inside the trains and stations.  It is a welcome approach to commuters.

Sensitizing – Special care to be taken for sensitizing and trained to communicate with the trans community in a welcome and cordial manner.

NMRC does a splendid work for this community and to facilitate the transgenders the required upgradations will be soon in the process such as toilet facilities at the station.

Basically, this station is targeted women-friendly and have the requisite facilities such as changing room, baby-feeding room and diaper-changing facilities.   

A great move and lively thought and the transgender community get a chance to connect with mainstream sections of society.  It is out of place to mention that everyone’s contribution is equally important for a better future.

NMRC has already renamed the station as ‘She-Man’ to facilitate the transgender community. 

It is absolutely a welcome move by NMRC to merge them in society and live like common people by giving an opportunity to transgender to earn bread with respect.  Who knows with their creative minds and good thoughts, we as a whole forge ahead to create a better society?

The Government should come forward and must provide more opportunities to them in different sectors so that ‘Trans’ should be independent and thus they get reprieved from their old- fashioned begging.

We cannot blame God by looking at them separately.  We should welcome with an open heart and accepted in the family & in the society also. 

The problem is our thinking.  It is the time to change society and we should be more opening up and encourage them to employ with all of us.

After all, everyone has the right to live their life freely and with respect & honour in this beautiful universe created by Almighty God.

NMRC is the first metro station in North India that has been dedicated to transgenders.

No doubt, we are moving with a new vision and the inclusive society evidently give us an equal opportunity.
